When you guys wash your cars and you wash inside the fuel door, what do you do about the little hole that is for overflow? Does this hole lead back to the fuel tank? Don't want to send a bunch of water to the gas tank. Thanks for your time.

I am about 95% sure the hole would not lead back to the tank try shining a flash light right on the hole and see if you can see light under the car maybe in the wheel house area.

If the cap is on you can not get water in the tank. The hole is for storm water run off.

Definitely true. Assuming is a recent vintage, there should also be an overflow back to the canister but that is behind the cap. This is why ur not supposed to overfill. U will flood ur canister.
