  • M105 on windshield glass?

In an article three years ago, Mike Phillips commends the use of M04 on windshields, because of the size of the abrasive particles in it. Given the introduction of the new abrasive technology, I was just wondering if M105 might work on windshields. I don't have #4 in my inventory, but I do own a small bottle of #105; and it'd be nice not having to buy yet another product.

    Cheers,

I used M105 with a wool pad on a rotary buffer to remove water spots off my Datsun Truck project and it worked great!

I also read somewhere Mike Pennington had said that in some of his testing M105 also worked well for removing water spots off glass.

So give it a try and see what you get and then post your results back here.

I had some water spots on my glass that would not clay off. I used M66 with my FLEX and a polishing pad and it took them right off. I'm sure M105 would work just as well.

Odd timing. I just tried this on my windshield last night as I had some strange streak marks that only showed up when the window was wet. It worked fantastically, no more streaks or spots! BTW, I did mine by hand with a sponge applicator pad. Try a test spot first and see how it works for you.

Sounds good. I will have to try this in the future. Maybe do a50/50 on some water spots. See what works better.
