  • Question on Swirls marks

    How are we all??

Quick question, don't know whether this sounds silly or not but could waxing often enough protect against new swirl marks being instilled whilst you wash??

    cheers

In theory, yes it can help prevent it. But using the wrong technique, and not using the least invasive washing method (there is a video around here somewhere of Mike washing a Mini using this method) can still instill swirls even with wax on the paint.

Certainly will help but as stated the most important thing you can do is be careful in how you touch the paint, this include always using applicators, wiping cloths and wash mitts that are of the highest quality and quality paint care products also.

I use the "blotting" technique instead of long wiping. Takes longer, but great results with minimal marring.

Generally speaking would most ppl say that the drive through washers would cause more swirls?
