  • cant get to the finer details with rotary

I'm about to put a post in the show off section but before i do i am having trouble getting to close to the door trim. let me explain myself better ..... half way down the door is a door trim that runs the length of the car. With the rotary buff i can get all but 2mm of DIRT surrounding the trim. the dirt is in the paint and i cant seem remove it by hand either .... what would one do in such a situation?

    SK

PS . heres the trim i am talking about

    Hi SprintKing,

I'm actually getting ready to head out the door for Oxnard as tomorrow is the NXT Tech Institute Workshop, but real quick, if you cannot get to it with the rotary buffer, then the only way left to get it is by hand unless you want remove the trim.

I would try some ScratchX with a piece of terry cloth towel and get aggressive.

        ~One mans opinion / observations~

        Spot Repairs:

Using a smaller 3.5-inch Velcro backing plate with a 4-inch Velcro backed foam pad (speed # 3-4) will allow you to remove paint defects in specific areas. These smaller pads also offer more control over the area being worked upon and leave the surrounding areas unaffected. Available from CMA

        ~Hope this helps~
