  • Wax + ScratchX Question

A couple days ago I used ScratchX and wax on my car (see my avatar) which turned out great. But today (or yesterday) a bird got some poop on the back that I just now noticed so I used Last Touch and removed it. But there is a small amount of etching if I look closely. Do you think I should just go ahead and use the ScratchX and remove it now or would it be better to wait until I wax again so that I don't strip the wax off that area? Thanks.

You can always spot treat the etching now, and then spot treat that area with wax right after. You don't have to wax the entire car every time

Remove it when you want to remove it, (fits your schedule), regardless of when you remove it, you're going to remove paint and this means you're going to remove any wax in that area.

Removing the etching may take a few applications but only a few seconds to apply a coat of wax to a small area.

I would try to remove it as soon as possible. Before the etching is in there for good. I only say this because it sounds like you are doing this by hand. I think sooner would be better.
