white shoe polish on black trim

i borrowed window paint from a guy a the drag strip bracket races to put a time on my windshield. turns out he was using white shoe polish. there is still traces of it on the black plastic windshield trim where some accidently was smeared. i have tried a lot of stuff but not gotten all of it. most people would not notice it but every time i detail my car it bothers me. it has been almost 2 months now. any suggestions?

What have you tried so far?

I would look at something like APC, #39. Maybe even peanut butter....

I would try the same ideas as Murr. Try working them in with a toothbrush.

tried the peanut butter with a tooth brush even. someone else suggested that to me. used lot of different proudcts for trim. even wiped the clay bar i tried for the first time a week ago on it. worked wonderfully on the paint surface of the car but did not make any difference on the polish marks on the trim. its just like a few embeded stains now on the right windshield trim. like i said in the post, most would not notice it but i do.
maybe i will try to contact kiwi. dam if polish ever lasted that long on my shoes before.
