Re: NXT 2.0 or Deep Crystal (or both)

So i guess my next question is what should i do about those swirls.?

    Option 1:
    - NXT Car Wash > DC#1 > DC#2 > NXT 2.0
    Option 2
    - NXT Car Wash > ScratchX > DC#2 > NXT 2.0
    Option 3
    - NXT Car Wash > ScratchX > NXT 2.0

You see i have learn't quite a bit from reading your forums. I definitely recommend beginners and even experienced people to read Meguiars Detailing 101 forums and other threads for proper use of Waxes and Polishes and combination of both.

I now know at least which products i can use by hand for my car with it's particular problems, i just would like to know if someone can help with the best possible combination of the above 3 options.? What would give the best result from beginning to end and clear up those swirls.

This would be the correct recipe if the ScratchX is aggressive enough. If it isn't removing the swirls then you're going to need something more aggressive than ScratchX.

M80 or M83 would be your next options.

        The man himself thanks Mike.

Can the M80/M83 be used by hand or is it solely machine polish..? & is it clear coat safe also..? it won't remove too much will it..?

They can both be used by hand but they're really the most effective when applied by machine.

Of course they're clear coat safe, we've been at this for a while, in fact long before clear coats were around so we know how to make products that work on all paints.

Most people struggle with removing any paint at all let alone the risk of removing too much. Just read all the threads where people can't get the swirls out, that means they're not removing enough paint.

Your fear is a common fear but because of the difficulty in working on clear coats your biggest worry is removing enough paint, not removing too much paint.

hehe yeh you are right of coarse, but cant blame a guy for worrying about killing the paint job on his ride..

When applying these products by hand can i use the standard applicator pads + microfiber towel, or would i need to use the buff/polishing pads..?
