help on damage from tree sap

Is there a possibility the tree dirt to make holes on the CC??A customer came today with that damage...I try to remove the dirt with clay which left me a smooth surface but with tiny spots on the CC...I tried a cleaner polish some compound but nothing....The spots look like stone chips all over the car..i tried to take some pictures but it was impossible....
Any ideas how to repair this damage??is wet sanding an option??

Dirt? Off a tree? Dirt, like dirt on the ground shouldn't eat through a clear coat finish, not sure if it falls off a tree it would either.

Maybe tree sap? Or water off the tree and onto the car?

What's the rain like there in Cyprus? Is it destructive enough after a rain to etch paint? If so then if it fell on and through a tree and then onto the car maybe it has nothing to do with the tree but what's in the air and in the rain?

If the defects are throughout the layer of clear then sanding won't fix it.

Remember, you have to know when to tell a customer that the problem there car's paint has cannot be fixed by anything "Anyone" pours out of a bottle.

It was tree sap...He left it there for a long period...i cannot feel them after claying but they are there...He told me that he took it somewhere else and they used some compound to remove it....I tried to take a picture but i couldn't make them visible on it....

Words are so important...

Their mistake was letting someone else compound the paint to remove an above surface contaminant because that removed good paint unnecessarily.

The paint will now be thinner before you even work on it.

Sometimes you need to know when to turn down work especially if it puts you in a position of risk. It could be the only honest fix is to repaint the car if they want a finish without holes in it.

Maybe offer to wax the car so what's left of the paint has protection but maybe let someone else take the risk for anything else they want done.

You don't have to buff out every car that's brought to you.

I know that, that's why i try to remove them by clay bar....Then i tried a paint cleaner because i thought it could be a mark(like water spot) on the cc and then i tried a fine polish(scratch X ) to see if i can rounded the edges or if the holes were not so deep to need too much CC removal...But unfortunately nothing....Using something with fillers would be a solution??

Not sure anything fills enought to be a viable, honest solution.

Wash, clay, wax return to customer and exlain that's about all that can be done outside of new paint.
