  • What brush for wheels/crannies?

I see folks using this nice round brush with about 1.5 inch long bristles and about a 1 inch diameter.... seems safe on wheels and crannies...

My aunt purchased a baby bottle cleaner to clean her wheels... and the idea makes me cringe. (scrubber with a sponge built in on the end) I'm likely detailing her car and want to know what we both need to do to keep our crannies from going dull. Currently I use some tiny brushes that you can pick up at Fred meyer... I don't really trust them.

Told my family "Three hundred dollar detail for a hundred dollars... any takers?"

Hopefully I'll get a bit of a portfolio going so I can detail a few cars for side money in the spring.

Soft tooth brushes are very handy.....

There is an auto website that sells some other interesting shaped brushes, but the name escapes me right now.

I just got a boars's hair lugnut brush from Autogeek. Seems to work well.

Mmmm yes, autogeek I think it was.

Looks like Mothers and OXO have a few interesting brushes as well, hopefully they are at least fairly soft.

I also use the soft toothbrush. That lug nut brush looks interesting,

Its a big country to ship stuff around if people arent buying it... Americans love cars, but a lot of people could care less about caring for them.

Will the boar hair brushes scratch clear coat? I'm thinking door jams, areas around trunk and hood... etc.

I use similar brushes above and plan on buying a wheel/spoke brush for other applications, tapered, soft tip and made by SM Arnold, ADS sells them. I have a Meguiars tire brush, 2 wheel face brushes and a misc brand for in the spokes of the wheels and other misc areas that is not the greatest right now.

Sounds good, i'll probably buy some boar brushes and use them on paint crevises and wheels.
