  • Scratches in side view mirrors

I have some scatches in the outer painted shell of my side view mirrors. A couple of them I can catch with my finger nail; the other are less severe. The mirror shells are made of plastic of some sort.

Would ScratchX or M105 be appropriate? If not, what do you suggest? TIA.

    Cheers,
    Al

    They are painted plastic?

If so, those would be the right products to use.

Re: Scratches in side view mirrors

I've used ScratchX on several places on my Go ManGo factory clear coat, but none of them were as deep so they could be caught with a fingernail. It took several passes even on the lightest ones. From my experience, I can tell you that ScratchX will be safe on the mirror, even if it is plastic, but it may be too mild for those deeper scratches.

Nevertheless, try it! As they always say here: Work your way up!!!! Start with the mildest first and go from there.

Your talking about in the actual mirror right? If so...try a mild cleaner like DC1.
