Reluctant to use a foam pad

I just received my PC and products....thanks Meguiar's for the promo. I'm excited to get started. My first patient is my black 99 Rodeo that has some bad scratches in the clear coat. also has some wax build up. I can see where white lint is stuck in the finish or wax layer. Never clayed it before. I plan on using Clay Magic to get the majority of it off and then some paint cleaner, followed by Scratch X, then polish and wax.

I've mentioned before that I've alwayed use terry bonnets on a 10" RO buffer. I guess my first question and I basically want to confirm this...To apply the paint cleaner...do I work it in till it dries or not? And do I remove it with a microfiber towel? Can I use my MF bonnet? Sorry if any of this sounds redundant. I'm just a little nervous.

Also, can the PlastX be applied with the PC and at what speed?

It would be nice if a mini-FAQ were written up to explain to new PC owners how to use the equipment properly.

Here's as simply as it gets:

1. #83 -- polishing pad -- pc at 5

2. #82 -- polishing pad -- pc at 5

3. NXT -- finishing pad -- pc at 4

Remove all products by hand with a microfiber polishing cloth.

It works on my black Hemi and my two black Harleys as well as on my wife's silver Tacoma.
