    Re: Discontinued Brushes

I picked up two of the plush mop heads the other day. Now I just have to find the handle. Sure looks handy for the roofs of suv's and trucks. Shipping something that long from overseas was crazy expensive.

AMAZON.COM It was through a 3rd party vendor (The Auto Alley) so I won't claim victory until the brushes are in hand.

Also, the prices are similar to what is posted on properautocare.com...little bit cheaper on Amazon, but not by much. Shipping for me was around $7. Interior Brush was $4.62, Slide Lock was $3.59 and three-way detail brush was $2.31. I'm pleased with the prices.

OK, so the Amazon.com shop was a bust. They contacted me today and said the order couldn't be filled since the products were discontinued. I've since placed an order from ProperAutocare.com. Prices were a little higher, but not by much. Shipping was $8.95 via UPS Ground.

You can order from there and use the code 'catalogs' to save 10% off your order.

I got 3 Slide Locks, 3 Intertior Brushes and 2 Detail Toothbrushes for $41 shipped. Not as cheap as Big Lots, but its either buy them online or do without. I love the interior brushes, so I had to stock up (it also helps to make me feel better about shipping costs).

BTW all the brushes are very unique the best, I use them alot and they are pretty in good condition.

I can manage a group buy on whatever available here in our market.

                Just let me know

I kinda wish I would have seen the combo set, but I ended up getting multiples of what I wanted, no biggie. Just bought a couple Black Magic tire brushes at Big Lots the other night, so I didn't really need a tire scrubber.

Just curious, this place is based in FL. How are they getting these Megs brushes?

I tried Amazon.com last December and I did get some, but yes some seller are certainly hit or miss on there.

I should be good for a while as I have about 4 Wide body brushes (my main way to wash my car), 4 wheel face brushes and 4 tire brushes.

I got my brushes today from properautocare.com, very pleased with the shipping time and costs. Picked up 3 Slide-Lock brushes, 3 interior brushes and 2 three-way toothbrushes.

Initial Thoughts on the Slide-Lock: The Slide-Lock is much bigger than I had expected, which is a good thing. The brush is well balanced and feels good in the hand. One thing that took me by surprise is the flat back of the brush handle. It helps with the balancing and allows the brush to lie flat between your thumb and pointer finger. The bristles are long, almost like a horse hair (or boars hair maybe). The slide has 4 different settings, each one allows the brushes to become a little more rigid. The brush is fantastic at cleaning out a/c vents and hard to reach spots on the interior. Haven't made it around to using it on the exterior yet, but I'm sure it will work very well. Overall, a fantastic brush....can't believe that Meguiar's stopped selling these in the US!!
