    Re: mixing car wash

With most of Meguiars car wash soaps the standard dilution is 1 ounce per gallon of water. Its my understanding the bubbles are not as important as the lubricity factor. This safely lifts the dirt away from your paint to reduce the chance of inducing swirls.

    Hope this helps you.

I try to minimize the bubbles they just seem to fill up the bucket rather than water. Now if I need them to cling to a brush for scrubbing I will spray water from my hose into the soap bucket. But in general I prefer very little bubbles.

If you like suds, just remember:
              • 1 oz. per gallon, or just a little more.
              • Deep Crystals car wash provides more suds than Gold Class.

                    No... dont need bubbles....

But Deep Crystal Wash would be the way to go if you want them.

Nope. The suds are just pleasing to the senses. Suds are a byproduct of making the water soapy, which is what you really want. The wash media (wash mitt/brush/sponge) is what really does the work while the soapy water is there to lubricate the surface. In the case of Meguiar's, they also use optical brighteners to help bring out a little more shine as well.

Also realize that water hardness has a LOT to do with how much suds you get. If you have a water softener or use dionized water, you will simply NOT believe how much suds you get with NXT or the Deep Crystal wash, however if you have hard water, than you will notice very little bubbles.
