  • D day

well tomorrow the day will have come when i detail my big sisters car like i promised for her b'day. The pictures will be shocking to say the least. This will be a 2 step process.
    Day 1 - Paintwork
    Day 2 - Interior

day 1 - there seems to be some clearcoat damage on the car. I'm wondering if using clay will do any good or bad?

day 2 - i havent looked but have been told by my brother in-law that there are things growing in the car and i have the assumption that it probably smells - i plan on hiring a wet vac machine from the dry cleaners and hoping for the best.

Basically im curious to know how i should tackle the paint for the minute & some suggestions for the mould/stains on the carpets?before showing up some pics in the show off forum tomorrow and the day after.

The car is a Laser Liata (atleast here in australia it is any way) would any1 know if this is hard/soft paint?

    Hi SprintKing,

Claying is for removing above surface defects, so if the clear coat is damaged below the surface, or if it's failing, (i.e. peeling or flaking off), then claying won't improve this.
