Im really confused. You guys are saying use #40 for vinyl dashboard protection but when I feel on my dashboard it feels grippy like its rubbery kinda of and not smooth like my other cars? Is it still safe to use #40 on this dashboard material? Do you guys have any idea of what its made of? I really looking for a low gloss finish that protects my dashboard from the uv rays. Thanks

#40 would be safe for rubber....

But if you really dont know what to do for sure, QID would be safe and easy.

I would try #40 I think you would like the way it looks,it will give you a nice clean natural gloss,and dries with no slick residue.

I use 40 on my 02 Ody and it is truly perfect. Definitely follow Mike's advice on wiping with a dry microfiber. I use QID on my 08 and 40 on my 02 and 00 vehicles. Make sure any previous dressing is removed by using APC or APC+ at 10:1 followed with a wipe with just a damp microfiber. You will love the results if you like a matte finish.
