Hey I have an acura tl 2008 and I want to protect my dashboard by applying some uv protection but I was wondering what are you guys recommendation. Im looking for something that doesnt leave a gloss and just protect because I dont want to blind myself with my dashboard. Also I was wondering should I put this stuff on like the side of my doors on the inside too? thank you for your recommendation.

Re: Dashboard protection question
The lowest gloss product would probably be the Quik Interior Detailer, which hs some UV protection.
But the best protection ould be from an actual dressing, which could add a little more gloss. The Natural Shine is probably the lowest gloss one of those.2017 Subaru WRX Premium - WR Blue

Re: Dashboard protection question
You might check to see what your Honda dealer has. They may stock low gloss "stuff" specifically for Hondas, etc. I bought some low gloss "stuff" from my Dodge dealer for my Hemi. It looked great but smelled so bad that I quit using it. I now use Meguiar's #40 and wipe it off with a terry cloth. It works for me.
Rather than applying it directly to the surface of the dash, etc., I spray it on a microfiber covered pad. That gives me much better control of the application.

Re: Dashboard protection question
Natural Shine, M40 or QID
If you use Natural Shine or M40, both of which are low gloss dressings, to insure a matte finish, after applying and working one of these product into the vinyl, take a clean, dry microfiber and give the surface a slow wipe.
One of microfiber's unique characteristics is the microscopic size fibers can get into small imperfections better than large fiber cloths and can better remove trace residues. It's these residues that create gloss, remove the residues and you reduce the gloss.

Re: Dashboard protection question
i use gold class leather cleaner/conditioner. it is really thick and takes some time to apply but you cannot beat the look it gives. my car has a LOT of leather and a thick rubbery dash. my interior is blue and the leather condit/cleaner makes it all a dark rich color with low gloss if any. plus the dash and seats are not all greasy like from other protectants.

Re: Dashboard protection question
I just started using GC Vinyl /Rubber Protectant and really like it. Dunno if you would qualify it as low gloss ...more like mid-gloss?
Readily available at retail which I don't mind.Rob A.

Re: Dashboard protection question
I was wondering when I swipe my finger on my dashboard it feels rubbery and grippy. Its not like my Honda accord where it feels like plastic and slippery but feels grippy. Do you guys have any recommendation for that? would #40 go well with that? Thanks

Re: Dashboard protection question
Just curious, does anyone else notice that NXT interior spray seems to attact dust?
In my TransAm, I used it on the plastic dash and doors, there is some extreme static electricity going on when that product is applied. Dust just runs to it, which is kinda the opposite of what I'm looking for.
