Re: Faded classic Mustang at school

Many years ago, I bought a 3 year old '67 Acadian Canso SD. (For my US friends, think Chevy II SS) It was red and looked like it had never seen wax. In fact it really did look like red primer. I took the car home in December with snow on the ground. I hand rubbed the paint twice (in an open carport, no less) with Turtle Wax Rubbing Compound and then waxed it. All my buddies thought I had gotten the car re-painted. It was a lot of work, but well worth it!

Ahhhh...single stage paint. Life was so much simpler back then!!
