I was using a 9 in orbital and #9 on my girlfriends card on Saturday and the product got real gummy and didn' t want to come off the surface. I know it was something that I did, but I'm a little confused because it has never happened before. The temp was in the low 80's and the car was inside so it wasn't warm. I don't know if I worked the product too much. Any ideas. In the end it all worked out but it took an extra hour because I had to go over the entire surface with QD before I waxed.

Hi 1BadMach1,
Sometimes temperature can play a part of the problem, as sometimes using too much product can play a part of the problem. I've experienced the same problem before also and never really figured out why it was happening. I usually clean my pad really well, remove the excess from the surface and try again.

Thanks for the quick response Mike. Now that you mentioned it I was kind of laying it on heavier than normal. I switched bonnets and the problem got better. But it was still there, anyway it wasn't the end of the world and I just thought maybe I could change the way I was doing it and that would help.Anything worth doing is worth overdoing.
