Useful life of paint care products

Do waxes, polishes and other paint care products actually go bad or just "out of date"? How do you tell if it is bad?
I have several different products and dont remember how long I have had them and don't know how to tell if they are bad or not.

Welcome to Meguiar's Online!

Meguiar's products have a shelf life of 3-5 years as long as they don't freeze.

Shake up the product and then pour some out. Look for a uniform appearance and consistency. If it looks okay it probably is okay. Test some out on your car's paint following the normal directions for applying the product.

Thank you very much. Was thinking since I posted, I believe I need to "upgrade" the products I use anyway, I have been using the same stuff that I have been using for 20+ years. I have been lurking here for awhile and boy am I really confused. I hope asking some basic questions is OK.
