  • First time to clay

I just got through yesterday claying my car and I have to say that I purchased my Meguiars clay kit 2 1/2 months ago but had yet to do the car.It was something I had never done and I was little afraid of using it. When I washed it last week and felt the grim on the newly washed car, I knew it had to be done. I watched the claying video on this forum three times and went out to do the car.

I have to say that it was so easy and the results were so dramatic. The Meguiars claying system is so nice and has everything you need. The best part was finding out the Meguiars micro fiber towels are much better than the ones I purchase at the local auto shop.

They are much more rougher compared to the soft and plush feeling of the one in the kit. So I got on line today and ordered some - maybe this will help me to keep swirls off the car which has been a constant battle. Anyway here is a picture in the garage - I did not get done until after 8:00 PM! :bestwishes

1 Getting ready to head out to the garage once it is warmed up some and use some Scratch X and then put on the Next Gen Wax.

    Cat:x

Its definately the easiest step with the biggest results.

Maybe give this video a watch also, if you think your technique may be causing some swirls:

I remember the first time I was going to clay. I was very hesitant also. Murr was a big help. Thanks again Murr. Glad it worked out well for you.
