We got our first rain in about five months here in Central California, and we all know what that means.... All of the road grime, dirt, and oil that has been collecting in the asphalt all summer long gets liquified and turns into a disgusting, muddy slime that sticks like glue to your ride. On top of that, I was in freeway traffic and driving fast.
You guys would not believe the grime on my dark blue truck!! It is so filthy that I'm actually afraid to wash it for fear of scratching it. I was thinking, when I finally do get around to washing it, should I increase the amount of soap in my soap/water ratio to provide more cleaning power and lubricity? I'm not too worried about sacrificing my existing wax protection if it means I won't swirl the finish.
The one cool thing about last night's rain was that I got to see the relentless water beading of M21 2.0 in action for the first time. All my friends got a kick out of it, lol, and it's been almost two months since I waxed.
