  • Interior Dirt Caked On?

What is the best product/method for removing caked-on dirt in the interior of the vehicle? I don't have that problem with my cars but at work we share an Eddie Bauer Ford Expedition and nobody takes care of the interior. Now that I'm all interested in detailing thanks to you guys, I'd like to learn how to clean that up.

The steering wheel has some serious caked-on dirt and then there is more caked on the various handles and commonly-touched places in the car. Would the Quik Interior Detailing Wipes work for this or do I need something a little stronger? Do I need something specific to clean the leather? Thanks.

Well I usually use Quik Interior Detailer on my car (never let it get caked on) but at work they don't use anything. They just let it go until it's awful and then get it cleaned professionally or somebody steps up and does something about it, sigh...

To removed caked on grunge, use a terry cloth wash rag as the nap or little cotton loops will give you gentle scrubbing power along with the APC to clean interior components.

Yeah I probably can. I've taken responsibility in the past and they've reimburse me for it even when I didn't even ask first since they know I have good judgement. Either way, what's awesome about the Detailer products is that $13 for a gallon is a great deal and I think it's pretty fun diluting it myself. I guess I just like detailing, haha.

Once you get it and use it you'll never let it out the arsenal, I've done interior job with amazing results using APC and a couple of more product but mainly APC does a fantastic job in almost everything

Mike, Just curious, why would you recommend APC over APC+? I'm still trying to understand the difference in cleaning ability and surface compatibility between these prodcuts. Thanks

Both will work, APC can be easier to find as APC+ is only handled by a few distributors.
