Just joined this site. I have been using Maguiars soft cleaner wax and quick detailer. I have a black 32 Ford Hi-Boy Coupe / base / clear / trad flames cleared, but the pin striping for the flames is on top of the clear / also a new Dakota 4X, dark pearl blue with the same trad flames / same deal on the paint. I have purchased all the NEW product. Any recommendations on where to start or just follow the directions and go for it ? thanx .... Lloyd aka nomobux

Hi nomobux,
Welcome to Meguiar's Online!
I love your 32 Ford Hi-boy Coupe and I haven't even seen it yet!
If you follow the directions on the label on the back of the bottle, you should achieve stellar results, if you have any questions, or problems, please be sure to post them here and I and others will do our best to help you science them out.
I'll assume the 32 Ford is garage kept and only driven in nice weather, being that you live in the beautiful and wet state of Washington, this would be about 3-4 months out of the year, (or less).
Here are the basics,- 1) Wash and dry
2) Inspect for above surface bonded contaminants, if you feel any little bumpy things on the surface, then clay your car.
3) If you have any visible scratches, blemishes, dull spots etc., then use ScratchX by hand, with a clean foam wax applicator to remove or improve these defects
4) Polish with a pure polish like the Deep Crystal Polish, or one of Meguiar's other pure polishes. (An optional step)
5) Apply two thin coats of wax allowing each coat to 10 to 15 minutes to dry, or until it swipes clear.

Thanx to all that replied so far. Yes the car is garage kept, but a driver ( not trailered ). The products I purchased are NXT Tech Wax, protectant, ult. wipes & metal polish. The black on the 32 is showing some dust scratches and I've heard the NXT really takes care of that. Mike .. are you saying to start with some sort of other base paste wax ? As I said, it's now got the soft cleaner wax on it. Also, can I continue to use the Maguiars Quick Detailer on top of the NXT GTW. thanx againI GOTTS NOMOBUX
