Are all clay bars equal?

just wanted to know the difference from the consumer clay kit and the professional line clay bars. i know the kit version comes in the lubricating spray, MF towel... but as far as the clay, is there any difference in oxidation/surface contaminant removal?

The white one, in the Smooth Surface Clay Kit, is less aggressive than the professional line clay bars. The Mirror Glaze Professional Detailing Clay (Mild) is less agressive than the Mirror Glaze Pro Detailing Clay (Aggressive).

So basically they are three different aggressiveness's (word?) and remove bonded containments easier. The aggressive clay can mar the finish of your car though.

Well with any clay bar you can mar the finish if you don't wash the car and make sure all the dirt is off it.

But in the case of aggressive clay, it's just aggressive enough to pull the worst of bonded containments off and possibly mar the finish, nothing to do with lube, but that is a factor with any clay.

It doesn't mar every finish, but the possibility is there.
