Popping out dent hot or cold

I'm trying to pop out a nickel sized dent. I am able to get behind it, but I can't pop it out all the way. I tried using the handle of a screw driver as my tool. It got a little bit of it out, but it wouldn't come all the way out. I have watched youtube videos of people using a heat gun and then compressed liquid CO2. Can anybody think of a common tool that will pop it out from behind? I was also thinking about hitting it with the CO2 and then trying to pop it out. Any suggestions

I really depends on the location of the dent. Sometimes they are on places that no matter how small they are you can't get them out. Any pictures?

Most dents are relieved by localized pressure at the correct spot(s). A lot of time at the crease, buckle or around the area where paint is cracked.

Try around the outer perimeter and work to wards the center in a circular method- do not start at the middle- that sometimes just makes more smaller dents or bulging the dent to far outward.

Where is the dent and is it easily worked on inside the panel??

Yeah, I can reach it easily from the inside. I don't have a picture of it, but it looks like a small dime or nickel size dent. It would be similar to a hail damage dent. I'm trying to think of something I have around my house that could be used to push it out from the inside.

Take a 1/2 inch socket drive extension or 1/2 - 5/8 round punch slightly smaller than the size of the dent and a short extension.

Apply duct tape or masking tape to round the outside edges.

Have someone support the opposite side with a towel to a piece of 2x4. this will backup the fender for driving the dent outward. Try directly pushing or at best use a small ball pein hammer to drive the "tools"

Another option is going to a paintless dent repair shop. May be fairly cheaper than doing more damage?

I would go to a paintless dent repair shop.

In the 70's I had a friend who would remove the inside panels so he could access the dent. He would deflate a football a little over half way, then use that to pop out any small dent he had. For the most part it worked surprisingly well.
