  • Clarification

I am new here and suffering from information overload. I read through a lot of the "list o' links", "newbie", etc stuff. Maybe someone can clarify some things for me?

    1. For the G100, the only pads you really need are the W-9006 and W-8006?
    2. My 2008 honda is maroon, a dark color. It seems like the Deep Crystal Paint Cleaner and Deep Crystal Polish is what I need between wash and wax? Given the small quantity of this product, is there an equivalent in the professional line that will give me more bang for the buck?
    3. Should you wash the vehicle between steps? For example, wash, clay, wash, cleaner, wash, polish, wash, wax?

    Thanks in advance for answers.

    Re: Clarification

    1. There are new washeable pads out now, but they are still the 7, 8 and 9 numbers. 7027, 8027, 9027 maybe.

If i was ordering pads the first time, I would order a case of 6 from ADS. I would get one cutting, 2 finiishing, and 3 polishing. The cutting pad can be used with the bonnets to remove wax.

    2. For use with the G-100, I would look at #80 Speed Glaze.

    3. No need to wash between steps.

      Murr1525,

Thanks for the reply and heads up on the washable pads.

The finishing pad is used with the wax and polishing with the cleaner and polish, correct?

        Re: Clarification

#80 is a cleaner/polish, so it would do both steps at once.

And yes to your question.... Wax is finishing pad, polishing pad is cleaners/polishes/ and cleaner/polishes.

Follow the above advice and your car will be looking great. I would also suggest getting some quik detailer to keep it looking great in between washings.
