      Makita has - Sanding Disc: 7" (180mm)
Do i take that off and put the Meguiar's W64 or W65?
I am gonna get the W5000 Wool Pad.
I am kind of confused here sorry.

The Makita has a spindle lock on top. Just press that button and unscrew the backing plate. To attach the new plate, press the spindle lock and screw the backing plate on.

You may want to get the W66 plate. The new Soft Buff 2.0 pads and W66 plate help to make centering easier.

The W5000 pads are double sided, so they just need an extension.

Does that deal from the "Coastal Tool" include the backing plate?

I dont know but that Dewalt 849 you are using Mike in your Wetsanding 1-5 Videos on youtube - It looks very solid and stable.
I bought the Makita already but im having double thoughts.
Could you clear out my doubts please.
            Thankx

Did you take a look at the poll I posted?

I can't even begin to count the number of people who own the 9227C and have yet to have a problem.
