  • PC or rotary? Pls advise.

Hi guys, can you tell how easy or hard it is to work the DACP with a PC? I am guessing that a Rotary will be much easier and faster. But also more dangerous . Am also thinking that, bsides working the DACP with the orbital, I can also use it for applying Show car glaze. Getting a rotary and an orbital is out of the question. So I will have to choose wisely. Thanks in advance.

    Hi popiah,

I find working the #83 DACP with the PC to be very EZ!

#83 can become gummy and sticky sometimes when used with the rotary buffer, this tends to be a sign that you're using too much product. Otherwise, it's a great rotary product.

#7 Show Car Glaze is a hand applied pure polish. It tends to be too rich in polishing oils to apply with a machine. If you want a non-abrasive pure polish that you can apply by macine, (PC), then look at these,

    Deep Crystal Polish
    #3 Machine Glaze
    #81 Hand Polish (Quart only)

If you're going to venture into the world of the rotary buffer, then you should check out our video, "How to remove paint defects"

Thanks for the reply mike. Just that I have read somewhere that people have to work the DACP very long with a rotary. I guess a more aggresive pad and higher speed setting might do the trick. Of coz its all down to experiment and experience. I will have to work harder from now on.
