Anyone try D151 after M105

  • Anyone try D151 after M105

    I haven't had a chance to mess around with these two products yet so I was wondering if anyone has used D151 after M105 and how there results came out? I know it is suggested to use a polish after applying M105 so is D151 a good option or should I stick with M83 or M80 and then a LSP?

    So far (one car) i've found 80 to be all that is needed to perfect 105's finish. Some have stated that 80 is not needed at all on some vehicles.

    About half my car didn't get the 80 treatment, and the typically bypasser couldn't tell a difference I'm sure, but of course I can.

      I've used this combination on a number of cars I've detailed and on some cars it's worked really well and on some cars I've used M80 or even M09 and then went to wax.

      It all comes down to there are different paint systems on the market both OEM and in the Refinishing industry and what works great on one type of paint my not work the same way on a different type of paint, that' why it's so important to do a test spot, that is test out the products and process you're thinking about using over the entire car to one small spot or area and then check your results in different light settings and make sure the results are meeting your expectations and if not then test a different product, pad and/or process until you dial in a system that's working on the paint system you're working on.

        I have read on another forums some do this. They used a wool pad with 105 and then finished up with foam pad and 151.
