    Re: 2 layers of wax

By doing 2 layers will be fine. I do it, but I put one layer on let it sit for its curring time of 15-20 min and buff it off ad then wait a day UQD it and then put another layer of wax on. I do not think there is any benifit of letting it cure that long.

Two layers of wax would be great, uniform protection and appearance.
Apply a coat of wax, when it's cured (15mins - 20mins) remove residue and let it fully cure for about 12hrs, if you can wait that long, and then apply another coat of wax and wait for about 15mins - 20mins and remove residue.

      Is you car garage kept?

Meguiar's does not preach the concept of truly "layering" waxes, but they do realize a second coat can help to guarantee a nice and even coat of protection. If you aren't one to detail constantly, it might be a good idea to do this so you can be confident the protection will be thorough and long lasting.

I think your process will be very good. Give yourself the benefit of a nice even coat of wax. I would wait at least 12 hours after the second coat to uqd. Just my personal preference.

I too use NXT, but I never apply two layers. I figure that if I put on a nice even coat the first time this is good enough. I wax frequently -- about every six - eight weeks. It works for me.

If I would to apply a second layer it would be of a wax/sealant that has no cleaners -- good old Meguiar's #16 or #26 or perhaps P21S.

...from my personal experience I can say that a second layer is not just a simple legend but a true way to amplify the NXT wax effect.

Not to be picky, but just FYI: It might haze in 15-20 minutes, but that's not cured. It'll cure in approximately 6-12 hours, depending on atmospheric conditions. Hazing (or "drying") is not the same as curing.

True, 15min - 20mins is an average but it's for letting it dry and being ready to be removed
                  Thanks
