  • Product Dilution Question

Just wondering what dilution ratios everyone is using on different products. I read that some are diluting the hyper dressing 1:1 for high gloss and 1:4 for satin, are there any others. Also, with the last touch I am noticing that people are use full strength as a finisher and a 1:1 for claying. What about the super degreaser and the all purpose cleaner plus? Any suggestions for diluting these and for what use?

APC and Super Degreaser 4:1 and 10:1 for each. I use the 10:1 first, if thats not enough I go to the 4:1

      Re: Product Dilution Question

Hyper Dressing - 1:1 (high gloss) 2:1 (medium gloss) 3:1 (satin finish) 4:1 (natural shine)
      Last Touch 1:1 (claying)
Super Degreaser 10:1 (light duty) 4:1 (heavy duty)
APC + 12:1 (light duty) 4:1 (heavy duty)

APC+ can be used on just everything, it depends on what are you working and how dirty it is. You can use it on carpets, vinyls, upholstery, rubber, leather, you name it.

          mlott132,
I detail as a side thing for friends, family, and co-workers. Most of the time I am mobile and use tap water from the hose for diluting my products with no decrease in their performance. I have used reverse osmosis water from my sink system when it was working and I can not see a difference in performance. To me tap water works fine for diluting in my opinion.

I use tap water, but since I'm on a well it has been filtered and softened.

              Re: Product Dilution Question

One last stupid question. I have the detailer line spray bottles and I noticed that they have the dilution marks on them. It looks like I fill them up with water first to the dilution line then add the product. How much product do I add? Do I go to the top of the bottle or the top of the label?

Coors Lite , use full strength. Helps wash the dust down.

                      Re: Product Dilution Question

For about 2 years I have been mixing my own product. According to the proper ratios. I started using tap water, was not happy. (our part of Florida has notoriously hard water). I then switched to the bottle water that we drink. Huge improvement. At the recommendation of some one I went to distilled water. I see a bigger difference in this. I would go with the distilled water.
