  • Is There a Substitute

Hanging out with the wrong crowd I strayed away from Meguiar's Products. I started using the "Boutique Brands" and was always searching, never happy. The last brand I was using was Adam's Polishes. While some products were OK I wasn't thrilled with their detail spray. Last year I tried some UQD and said why did I ever leave.
Now the question, while using Adam's I really liked the Buttery Wax and Under Carriage Spray. If anyone is familiar with Adam's stuff, does Meguiars have anything I can replace these to with. This would complete my conversion back

If you like the Butter Wax then you will probably like either our Gold Class or M26 Hi Tech Yellow wax.

As for under carriage spray, maybe Hyper Dressing?

GC paste wax goes on very smooth and comes off easy, and it smells nice, great wax.

Looking at Adam's website their description for Buttery Wax reads almost identical to what I think of when using Meguiar's M26 Hi-Tech Yellow Wax, right down to the extreme ease of removal.

Mike Phillips' recommendation for Hyper Dressing as a substitute for Under Carriage Spray is what I was thinking as well - it is very commonly used that way but is also a great tire dressing and suitable for use on all vinyl and rubber surfaces. It has the added benefit of giving a variable shine depending on dilution ratio - 2:1 for a higher shine, 4:1 for a more matte finish. Buy a gallon and pick up two spray bottles for the different dilution ratios and you've got two products for the price of one.

I just had some arrive, but haven't had a chance to try it yet.

Thanks all for the quick replies
