ColorX labeling said do not apply to vinyl or rubber. Anyone know why? In my experience, it doesn't seem to stain or leave any residue....are there any long term effects?

ColorX on Vinyl & Rubber?

Hello DRT and welcome to meguiarsonline.com! We're very glad to have you aboard.
Your question about ColorX is a very good one. I believe that the text that you're referring to is on the bottle as a preventative measure. In short, it may or may not come off of some products. To curtail the potential that it may not come off, they added that particular text.
I can't speak for the product testing folks but, I seriously doubt that there'd be any long term effects.
Thanks for the question!

Thanks for the response...I thought the labeling was just a CYA type thing.
Another perspective is that most waxes/polishes don't offer the necessary oils needed to replenish some vinyl or rubber material. For this, one would need to utilize a product like NXT Protectant or #40 (just to name a couple).
