  • 2 Coats?

Im having confusion when somebody says apply 2 coats. Actually not confusion but a question, when you say 2 coats, is it apply 1st coat of let say wax then buff and then apply 2nd coat of wax then buff or is it apply 1st coat of wax then let it haze, then apply 2nd coat of wax then you buff? thanks!

    1. Apply Wax
    2. Let dry/haze
    3. Remove
    4. Try to let sit 10-15 minutes at least, not a big deal if you cant.
    5. Apply Wax
    6. Let dry/haze
    7. Remove

Good to put your mind at rest.

You'd apply 1 thin coat, dry, buff off, and then apply a 2nd thin coat, dry, buff off.

Also, some would prefer to wait several hours between the first and second coat, but the choice is yours. I don't wait personally.

I'm wondering...would there be any difference, or harm, if you didn't buff off the 1st coat before applying the 2nd coat?

Is it necessary to remove residue before applying the 2nd coat?

The dried residue is in the way of the fresh product reaching the paint and as you apply the fresh wax you will be mixing it with the dried residue which after drying becomes a different product than when it was in the bottle or can.

          Wax
          Let dry
          Wipe off excess
          Re-wax
          Let dry
          Wipe off excess
