  • 4:1 or 10:1 APC good adhesive remover?

I'm doing a sheriff turned village official car, and there's outlines and sticky marks like CRAZY where the letters and numbers used to be. I can't for the life of me find my goo-gone automotive formula, can i use APC to remove the adhesive?

Try 10:1 then if that doesn't work go to 4:1

You might be able to massage the adhesive off using a paint cleaner like ScratchX or Deep Crystal Paint Cleaner with the added bonus of when you're done the paint will be clean, shiny and ready to wax.

Have you tried the regular Goo Gone formula?

I've never seen it hurt paint when used with common sense.

Along with the regular Goo-Gone, yo ucould try a bug and Tar Remover.

D105 is certainly a decent light tar remover... Should be a similar situation if a paint cleaner was needed as Mike mentioned.

denatured alcohol works well for adhesive residue. doesn't haze or harm like thinner.
