      Hey Infinitevision
You need to read what Murr has already link down here.

Here are a whole bunch of usefull links... you might want to watch the ScratchX video. ColorX is not the same product, but at least you will see a little bit about how to remove swirls.

I am glad you solved the swirls. Not the task becomes to refine your technique to minimize the amount of swirls in your paint from now on. Congrats.

Re: How to use Color X

My personal technique for color-x is using my DA with 9000 finishing pad on power setting 4.5 work the product in till it seems to thinning out, then to power level 3 and spread it evenly as if i was then waxing, let dry then by hand wipe off with microfiber towels.,, I use NXT 2.0 regularly, and color x once a year as a cleaner.

Can you describe more of how you wash?

There are some paints that swirl when you look at them... hopefully this isnt that bad.

Re: How to use Color X

Also, be aware that ColorX includes polishing oils which will help temporarily hide ("fill in") light swirls without necessarily removing them. Hence after a little time and some washes, the swirls become more visible again. It does not necessarily mean you have re-created swirls (although maybe your washing style does cause swirls).

So, you may need to spend a little more time during the swirl removal process, and inspect the paint under bright sun, to ensure that you have actually removed existing swirls in the first place (and not just hidden them).

As previously indicated, if ColorX is not enough to do the job, you might need to step up to SwirlsX (or maybe even ScratchX-2.0, but that is doubtful).

OK - Going to try it on my new black car. I have swirls - from the dealer prep I think.

I also bought SwirlX Should I return it?

Re: How to use Color X

I think that a daily driver car always will have swirls because use, washing, people touching the car, in parkings, objects touching the paint, animals, etc... you only have to polish it, wax it very well in a routine.

If you have swirls, you would want SwirlX or Ultimate Compound, if that is what you are asking. Probably best to have both.
