  • What To buy

I have about 25 bucks to spend on car stuff right now.

    1. What is the best Interior Protectant from Meguiar's?
    - NXT, Gold Class, Quik Interior?
    2. What's the best/longest lasting Tire shine Spray/Liquid/Gel?

    3. What is a good polish (for by hand) to use before wax but after clay.

For polish, you can find in stores Deep Crystal Step 2 Polish or more preferably probably #7 Show Car from the Mirror Glaze line (you can find it in like the chain parts stores like autozone). Deep Crystal Step 2 would probably a few dollars cheaper, if you want to save a bit.

I think many say the Gold Class Endurance tire gel is one of the best. I don't have it yet as I had a kit which included Hot Shine Tire gel, it's cheaper, but I've been really surprised. It works nicely.

Quick interior isn't as much of a protectant as the others you listed. It does put down a little protection, but it's mainly for wiping things like dust up. I like it and use it, but for the actual protectant and to richen up the color of the interior plastics I have been using the Gold Class Protectant (also available in easy to apply wipes), and then I use the Quick interior to clean between applications of the protectant. However, I think most prefer #40 for the protectant, which you probably can't find in many stores, or the NXT you mentioned is also very good they say. I'm going to use my Gold Class protectant until it runs out though because it's very good too, and the wipes are convenient.

I will second #7 Show Car Glaze. I use it on every car. Great product and a very fair price.

QID is not a protectant, just a mild cleaner with very mild protecting properties. It is meant to be used as a maintence product for you interior. If you want a actually protectant, I would suggest NXT Interior Protectant. Make sure and wipe it down after letting it sit for about 20-30 minutes.

Longest lasting tire gel for me is Hot Shine Tire Gel. Make sure to clean your tires first and that they are dry befor applying the product.

Do you want a polish or a paint cleaner?

^^^ I would agree with Ryan on products.

NXT Tech Protect is an all in one cleaner/protectant.

Hot Shine tire gel/spray is great stuff, I love it.

If you want a polish or a paint cleaner by hand get the Deep Crystal Steps 1-2 are pretty cheap(if you want the polish too!).

Each of our interior products have the appropriate amount of protection ingredients for the surface to be treated, a chemist doesn't pour extra protection ingredients into one product over another, it's a balance of ingredients to do the entire job of cleaning, conditioning and protecting when it comes to one-step interior dressings.

More important it to find a product you like and use it regularly. This is called maintenance and something Meguiar's has been educating people on for our entire history.

So try a product like Natural Shine if you're working on vinyl or Gold Class Rich Leather Spray if you're working on leather.

Any of our pure polishes will work great, if you think the paint needs a tad of cleaning then look for some M09 Swirl Remover 2.0 as this is a light cleaner/polish that you can use by hand and it will clean and polish in one step and give you the results you see when you use a pure polish.

                Hope that helps...

                        1. What is the best thing to use to WASH the Car w/soap. I am currently using a Microfiber Sponge.
                        2. I saw the showcargarage.com video with the Grid Guard. Do you guys use those, and where can I buy one? I don't need the buckets w/ wheels but it looks nice.
