  • Question about acrylic paint.

I do have a Gran National to do but the paint is cracked all over the car. For what i understood during searches, this cannot be fixed since the cracks go all the way to the primer. Anyway it can be hidden? If i do m105 to remove the scratches , then the cracks will fill with compound and look like **** after right? any solution of the body shop is the only way to go?

    Re: Question about acrylic paint.

The cracks are throughout the paint, thus more and more buffing won't make them disappear.

Best thing to do is clean, polish and wax as normal and it will look as good as it can until it can be repainted.

Usually compound residue won't fill into these cracks and show up because usually if you clean, polish and protect they will be very smoothed over so it's not an issue.

Give it a try and share some photos...
