I am a new user of the UQD. apparently this is used between washes to remove light dust bird ****, etc??? if i use this say 3 days after a wash, how does paint not get scratched?? i understand the lubricant threory but i would think you still get light scratches, no? what about the lower pannels?? what about windows?

how do you guys use UQD?

    Re: Uqd

QD products are for light dust.... The hard part of course is how to judge that. I tend to say if it is driven down the highway, it is time to just re-wash to make sure swirls are avoided.

I use UQD a lot after washes instead of a spray wax, and it is fine on windows, though you may get a slight streak or two.

If you have bird droppings or other dangerous heavy contaminants I suggest using Last Touch undiluted first, followed by UQD for the ultimate shine, protection, and beading.

I haven't done a traditional wash on my Mercedes in about 4 months. It just gets light dust and whatnot. I haven't had any issues with UQD. However, then again, I'm out there cleaning it all the time. ha-ha.

I use uqd at least every 3 days. As with everything the proper technique and applicators limit swirls and scratches.

That's how I use it. I've never used any QD if I have not washed a vehicle. Even light dust.

I wouldn't even buy it otherwise myself though. I love keeping the car looking perfect every single day. I can't wash my car every day, but I can easily UQD or QD every day or every other day.

The UQD is a bit different than the regular QD.... Just me, I wouldnt use a QD after a wash, but with the coating the UQD leaves, it is worthwhile even if that is all you do. Or a spray wax would be the other option.
