    Re: Costco Microfiber Polishing Cloths

I have used Autozone's and Advance Auto Parts clothes for a few years and they work fine. I have never actually used a Meguiar's Cloth, but you should be fine.

Regarding the Costco towels, I found myself cutting off the corners of the towels in addition to cutting off the labels. The corners seemed a little sharp to me...

I use the Costco MFs and they are good MFs but not the best. Great value for how many you get but I have issues sometimes after buffing wax off by hand the towl leaves wax streaks and I let the wax cure for 15 20 min and then wipe off but still it streaks. I know it is the MF because I use the meguiars supreme shine and it is perfect. No streaks. But it is still a great value and I use them on wheels and windows and in my engine bay too.

I haven't bought the Costco MF's yet, but I probably will. I UQD just about everyday and I am going through one to two MF a day.

Interesting that you should mention cutting off the corners. I started doing that last week. I alway check the MF's over when I pull them out of the dryer and I found two of my Meg MF's with corners that were sharp. I snipped them and their good as new.

i like them personally. i usually wipe wax off with them and then go back over with a damp MF towel to get rid of the streaks. works well enough for me, and i like saving the money

I have gone through at least 15 packs of those over the years. Back in the day they used to be $7-8. I use them on paint all the time, never had a problem. I really only use the SS for UQDing.

They are a great alternative to the SS and I would highly recommend getting a pack or two. Once more of the towels get dirtier and dirtier from grease, I set them aside for use on wheels, tires, interior, engine, etc.

i do something similar to lilblkblt04. paint for the new ones, when they start to wear they go to interior, then they go to wheels and tires, and finally engine bay. not saying they all hit all the steps, i just wish they had different colors.
