Re: A12 vs DC1
Yes they are. I personally use DC1, #7, and NXT 2.0 or Gold Class.
IMO, the Cleaner /Wax doesn't clean as thoroughly as going through the steps. I like #7 better for bringing out color than DC2, but DC2 is easier to use. I guess it depends on how thorough you want to be- how good you want it to look.
A lot of members here say to use A12 or Colorx followed by NXT 2.0- haven't tried that yet.2011 Ford Mustang GT Cali Special

Re: A12 vs DC1
Single step products are the better way to go, if you have the time. Don't forget the DC polish, that will give you the nice shine your after before your LSP (wax).
Remember, the cleaner (DC1) and the polish (DC2) don't need to dry before you remove it, but obviously the wax does as does the A12 cleaner wax.
This is not to say A12 won't give you a great looking finish, just doing each step will give you better results.
A few of questions:
Are you working by hand?
What are you working on?
What condition is the finish in now?

Nice Stang ajb.
TX,
My question was a general one. I am just starting to get more familiar with all the product options. In the past I have used A12 by hand. I'm about to order up a G110 so I am considering single step products. The vehicles in my signature all have different paint conditions, from light swirls and oxidation to new.2008 Ford Edge

My Notchback is also bright red. It doesn't know what snow is! I had an '86 GT that I drove year round for a couple years. Horrible in snow / ice!2008 Ford Edge

Re: A12 vs DC1
Kind of comparing different techniques, since #80 would tend to be used by machine, which changes a lot of variables.
#80 by G110 would be much better, esp at cleaning, but by hand probably not as much of a difference.2017 Subaru WRX Premium - WR Blue
