  • What if Paint Cleaner pad comes out perfectly clean?

Yesterday I did another one of my regular detailing, to my main car.

    Clay, DC1, #7, Nxt 2.0, and #16.

Question though: with the DC1 this time, the pad never got the slightest bit dirty, so I'm guessing there really weren't below surface contaminants, or even if you don't see anything, could it still be getting some?

When I went around the car, I was just thinking I should have skipped that step, but it's probably still getting something I suppose?

I think maybe with my care regimen and almost daily use of UQD, there wasn't much to get. ha-ha. What do you guys think?

Chance are, since you clayed the vehicle first you removed most of the contaminants that were inbedded in the clearcoat.
If its fast, loud, and runs on a flammable liquid...count me in.

its suppose to be clean if your car is regularly washed and clayed.... because there is nothing to dirty it with when all the contaminants dont have the chance to get stuck on the paint

If you are keeping the car clean, and keeping the big stuff off, and not getting tar, then the light dirt that is coming off will be hard to see. But still good to do every once in a while, though you can go a bit faster when it is clean like that.

Exactly. Using a paint cleaner on a well kept car is a quick and easy task.

I would just think of it as success. I am doing what I am suppose to do. Keeping the paint as well maintained as possible.

Great! I'll keep up the maintenance and also continue to use paint cleaner, when doing a complete detail! Better than the alternative!

I used paint cleaner on my old car, talk about nasty stuff (what it removed).
