  • DA price Difference

    HEY MEGUIARS....

On the ADS website i can buy your g110 da polisher that includes the applicator backing, buff pads, and a meguiars duffle bag.

All for $30.00 less than i can buy the da only from your website. Whats the deal? Should meguiars direct be cheaper than any place else?

    correction...

Its not actually $30 less but you get a foam pad, microfiber towel and duffel bag.

If you get a backing plate, pads, and a bag, how is it cheaper to buy it from Megs if you get all that stuff from ADS? Have you checked the prices on all the extra stuff you get? Those pads and backing plates are not cheap.

edit: So how much cheaper is it then? A pad and a towel isnt much but that bag works out great to store it in.

Meguiar's does not sell products directly to end users with the intention of being the best price in town or cyberspace. Yes, we do offer direct purchasing through our new meguiarsdirect.com site, but ultimately we are happy if you buy Meguiar's period. Also understand that once Meguiar's sells product to a distributor/reseller/retailer we have no control over the pricing.

Exactly the opposite of the argument he is making. He is saying why isn't it cheaper from Meguiar's when you get all the additional stuff from ADS. Which is explained in the post above mine.

Ditto, it's a bad idea to cut the legs out from under your distributors.

The package from ADS includes a 16"x16" towel and a W8006 Polishing pad. The bag comes with any purchase over $100, so it's just coincidence that you will get it with the $149.99 DA Polisher.

And as Brian said, and I think you both missed, once they sell their products to other retailers (i.e. ADS), Meguiar's has no control over how or how much they (ADS) sells those products. So it is purely up to ADS to add the microfiber and pad.

I heard though that when you buy the DA from meguiars direct they warranty it for life.....not so sure that is true with meguiars direct or with ADS

I am pretty sure Rick has recently changed the Duffle Bag Promotion to any combination purchase of Meguiar's products of $125 or more.

I am pretty sure on the new G110 it is a one year warranty. The G100 had the lifetime warranty. Someone chime in if I got it wrong.
