So I am going shopping tomorrow to buy some Meguiars products for my truck. I'm planning on buying NXT 2.0 Tech Wax, Mag and Aluminum Polish and Quick Interior Wipes. I was wondering could I apply a cleaner wax and then 2 coats of the Tech Wax? Would it take the swirl marks out better if the Tech wax was applied first or just skip the cleaner wax? Any suggestions or tips in how to apply these products for optimum results.

Re: Car Clean Up
you have to first clean the paint with paint cleaner..... scratch X would be my favorite paint cleaner by hand because it has more use than DC1...... you can also use color X as your paint cleaner.... and then wipe it off and apply NXT 2.0.....
you might want to clay your truck first.... it will take off all surface contaminants and make your paint feel smooth..... paint cleaner will do this too but clay is better at it..... paint cleaner is more for taking care of swirls and scratchs and dead oxidized paint.....

Re: Car Clean Up
Getting things cleaned up, and dealing with swirls will likely be 2 different procedures. You will probably find it best to get your car cleaned up overall first, then work on removing swirls on a panel or two a day over time. Removing swirls by hand tends to ****, and trying to do to much at once will just lessen your results.
Nxt 2.0 is only a wax, it will do nothing to remove swirls. A cleaner/wax like ColorX can do a little, but even then isnt really strong enough to do a lot.
A good quick detail would be:
1. Wash
2. Clay
3. Cleaner/Wax - I like ColorX
4. Wax - Nxt 2.0
Then, over time, you can wash and use ScratchX, or the new #105 Ultra Cut Compound. Each day, or a weekend at a time, you can go over one or two panels with #105 and then follow up with a wax, or a pure polish and a wax.
Actualy, if you new you were going to do it quickly, you could just cleaner/wax, and save the Nxt for after the #015. But, if you are going to spread it out over a good while, you could just do both coats of wax.2017 Subaru WRX Premium - WR Blue
