Absolutely. So if you were to try claying you’d want to clay in a small area and check the results first before doing a large area.
If you’re dead set against claying I’m not going to try to talk you into it. It’s your paint. You have to do what you think’s best.
It’s just that from my own experience what you’re effectively saying is “I’ve tried a hammer and that didn’t work and I’ve tried a chisel, which worked a little. But I don’t want to try a scraper because that might damage the surface.”
