Ok, I know I'm coming in late on this, but....are you sure that the wheels aren't clearcoated aluminum? My 7-Up Car has the original Ford wheels, and they are exactly that.

That wasn't an option though on the 2001 Cobra. BTW, those 7-Up cars are rare! Hang on to that!
