  • Final Inspection as Clay Lubricant

I've been reading that the preferred lubricant for claying is Last Touch (1:1). How about using Final Inspection? I got a lot of that left. If Final Inspection is okay, is there a optimal dilution ratio? What are the pros and cons of one over the other?

At this point, one negative for me is that I gotta go out and buy Last Touch.

The only drawback to using #34 as a clay lube is that it's a bit of a pricey way to go. IIRC, I don't believe it's made to be diluted as Last Touch can be and hence the advantage to the latter.

Final Inspection would be used straight.

Its great but as Mort said, it gets kind of expensive. Try the last touch. Diluted 1:1 you get 2 gallons for the price of one. Very cost efficient.
