Product Storage

What's the best way to store all your products? There are threads showing products on the kitchen table or what not but not a lot of good threads on storage. Is there a 'perfect' storage set up? I guess it's my OCD kicking in that wants to have my garage organized. It's a bit harder for us in freezing climates since everything has to migrate into the house every fall. Plus I do a little wood working in the garage so everything gets covered with dust.

I was looking at this cabinet but I just can't bring myself to spend that much. Heck for that much I'll buy a Flex or something else "fun"!

So lets see what you have for "perfect" product storage or at least some tips and tricks.

I am starting to have that happen. I run around thinking, "I know I have one of those, but where the heck is it".

Hahaha... I have atleast a dozen different products within reach of my computer. Maybe I should put them somewhere...


Most of my products are stored in the Meguiar's bags in the garage - pads, microfibers, sprays, and polishers. The cleaners, polishes, protectants and other expensive items are stored indoors. With the high heat and humidity, it's just not worth the risk. The gallons from the Detailer Line are stored in one of the Gladiator cabinets.

The M16 and expensive waxes have their own shelf upstairs.

I went cheap with a rack like this. I do heat my shop in the winter though.





Eventually I may upgrade some day so that I can lock it all up. I was looking at something like this...

Last year I built a shelf but it was 16" deep and stuff ended up hiding in the back. Sort of like the refrigerator, never know what's growing back there. Here's a display photo right after I built it...



Now I have more products plus need somewhere to keep the tools and microfibers. lol

I don't have as much as most of you so it makes it easier. I use shelving like most but also keep some on the shelves in the old style plastic milk crates. Then when the temperatures start to drop, I bring them to the basement.

Your gallon of APC looks further back than the rest of the products.

That cabinet looks like it would do the trick. Now go straighten the Gal. of apc.
