  • Why do orbital buffers come with wool pads? Safe to use?

Just curious I read alot about how agressive wool pads are and to only use with a rotary however I've purchased 2 Orbital "wally world" buffers and both came with wool pads... When and how could you use these?
Just curious if it would be more aggressive using color-x with them than terry bonnets or would it just scratch like crazy?
    Thanks..

I would STAY AWAY from the wool pads. They cut way too much and you'll most likely mess up your paint. Go with foam. Much safer and you'll get great results. Wool should be left to the true pros and there rotaries. Plus, the wool pads that come with most buffers are garbage. I don't even use the ones that came with my Makita rotary.
