  • NXT 2.0 or #21 2.0

Hi guys. I was going to place an order for a few things including #21 2.0 and I was wondering how the new NXT 2.0 compares to it. I was looking at the package at Walmart the other day (paste) and I'm wondering if it's as good. I always go for the Pro line and Detailer Line but I'm curious about the new NXT. I tried NXT in the past with mixed personal opinions. Sometimes I liked it and sometimes I didn't. I believe NXT 2.0 has a little more cleaning ability and light removal ability then #21 2.0. Is this correct? I was planning on using #9 followed by #21 2.0 but NXT 2.0 might be all I need. I gave my car a full detail a few weekend ago and there are just a few light swirls left. What do you all think?

I have only used NXT 2.0 as the LSP on a well prepped surface so I can't say I know for sure, but....
I have read a number of posts that say NXT 2.0 does not have cleaners.
I think I have also read where #21 2.0 does still have some light cleaning ability.

      Re: NXT 2.0 or #21 2.0

I'm a little confused now. I went back and read some reviews and comments and people are saying it has "filling abilities" and "hides" swirls. Hmm. I guess that was one of the changes. That's fine with me. After using #80 or #9 to remove the bulk of the swirls or light scratches, I'm sure there will be some very light ones that won't be removed without using too aggressive of a product. Light filling can be a good thing. I just assumes that it would remove them. Is it more of a LSP then a all in one type product?

      I just found this:

NXT Tech Wax 2.0 Paste. After years of research into advanced polymer chemistry, Meguiar’s® has created a wax powered by Engineered Synthetic Polymer (ESP) technology. The result, NXT Generation Tech Wax® 2.0 Paste, is the most technologically advanced synthetic protectant for paint available for today’s modern finishes and clear coats. Our breakthrough formulation goes on and comes off easy without a powdery residue to visually eliminate fine swirls, protect against UV damage, and leave your finish “amped up” – with a deep, wet-look shine that is unbelievably intense. ESP technology creates a tough polymer bond for extreme, durable protection.

I guess it does say "to visually eliminate fine swirls"

As far as I'm concened it is definitely a LSP and not an AIO product.
ColorX is a good example of an AIO that works very good prior to using the NXT 2.0. If your paint is in very good condition to start with, then the NXT 2.0 will do a great job.
        (As will the #21 2.0)

I have been using #21v2.0 for a couple of months. I really like it. IMHO a lot better and more durable then the original version.

That's a good question. Maybe it "visually eliminate fine swirls" like the new version. I think I still have an old bottle of NXT. I'll have to dig it out later to see what it says.

And at the end of the day sometimes the best thing you can do is to actually buy a bottle and try it yourself and make up your own mind based upon the performance of the product...

Seem to work pretty well on this old car...

                And this old truck...
